Rasmussen Polls asked Texans about seceding and found that 31% of Texans ‘believe’ Texas has a right to secede. If put to a vote, 75% would vote to remain in the union while 18% would vote for secession.
What does that all mean?
It is estimated that Texas has a population of 23,904,380, according to the Census Bureau’s 2007 estimate. Of that 23,904,380 population, 4,302,788 would vote to secede, today!
If the 18%, who would vote to secede donated $10 to the current effort to restore the Confederacy, the treasury would hold $43,027,880! If they also registered to vote to restore the CSA, the Treasury would hold $215,139,400 for a total of $258,167,280. That’s a quarter of a billion dollars, folks! The US Treasury doesn’t have that much cash on hand.
Assuming that the 18% also responded that they believe Texas has the right to secede and would vote for it, 13% still believe in the right. If that 13% could be converted to votes, that would be a total of 7,410,357 Texans ready for our message. If they each donated $10 to the effort to restore the CSA, that would dump $74,103,570 and if all registered to vote to restore the CSA, it would produce an additional $370,517,850 for a total of $444,621,420!
Now, let’s extrapolate a bit. The current (2007) estimate of the population of the former states that comprised the CSA is 103,832,450. If the 31% who believes secession legal contributed $10, $321,880,590 would flow, immediately into the Treasury. If they all registered, that would add an additional $1,609,402,950 for a total of $1,931,283,540. That’s almost 2 billion dollars folks, for less than a hundred dollars out of our pockets!
It has been statistically proven that we, each, influence ten people. That means we directly influence 321,880,590. The highest voter turnout was only 56.8% of eligible voters for the 2008 election. That means we influence almost three times the population of the former Confederate States! The US Population is only 303,824,640 so we must have a whopping support in other nations for we know the US isn’t going to be a happy camper when these numbers hit the street.
We are not alone! We have clout! Now, we must educate this found mass that we exist and direct their energies to our goal.
Go forth and multiply!
